California

Much has happened since last time I've sat down to write about my doings, as a matter of fact I need to look back at the photos I took to remind myself of places I've recently been to as I'm always on the move.

I've been waiting to ride "real" roads the very second I've opened the throttle by real I mean never ending turns where the concrete challenge you and the surrounding is nature at its most beauty evergreen, riding in what they refer to here as redwoods is an amazing experience I've just recently acquired,
The atmosphere of trees, flowers and green is incredible.
I wish I could have take pictures of these roads but as you might imagine I need both my hands on the bar.

The 156 road was the first taste ,going up the mountain at the early morning when it's all misty is like riding with an air conditioner, most mornings are like this chilly and full of fog but it's quickly clears out to yet another sunny day.

[Old motorcycle museum]
Following the road led us through a couple of wineries and finishing at a small Danish like town where we've stopped to visit the old motorcycle museum it's just so happens to be that all motorcycles in the museum are owned by a single person,

[Danish town]
we've decided to have lunch at a local restaurant there called Belgium café, leaving this gorgeous town behind we've continued riding staying away from highways and taking more "technical" roads to enjoy the vistas.

[Motel at Cambria]
We've finally got to Cambria a sleepy little town as the owner of the motel we've stayed in described it.
The next morning we were on our way to "Hearst castle" a must site as we've been told several times and indeed Hearst didn't disappointed. This luxurious castle is located off the shore of San-Siemens up the hill tops isolated from all. We’ve taken a tour to the main rooms and had spent some time at the gardens. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

[Sea Elephant]
Leaving Hearst we kept heading north on the famous 1 road. On our way we've pulled over for a quick view of some sea elephants which we're in the middle of their siesta, nothing exciting but still to see those beasts laying there on the beach was quite a sight.

[Road number 1]
Keeping on the 1 the view just kept getting better and better the road itself is narrow and the winds are blowing hard, the heated seat and grips really came in handy. We found ourselves right on the edge of the cliffs rising straight up from the ocean, from time to time we pulled over for a short stretch and to take pictures, I couldn't imagine myself riding this road on anything else but a motorcycle.
At night we've almost reached Santa-Cruz but we decided to pull over at a motel 6 right outside the city.

[Mountain View]
The next morning we head East forwards Los-Gatos on this beautiful country road filled with trees and green which surround you from all direction magnificent!
From Los-Gatos we continued to Saratoga climbing up a mountain accompanied by lots and lots of other riders which enjoyed this twisting road with us. This is truly biker's paradise.
Going down the mountain passing by some of the most beautiful houses I've seen so far the places these folks lives in is just incredible, anyhow we we're reaching Mountain View to pay a quick visit to the notorious high-tech companies,
Google it seems like half the real-state there is owned by Google anywhere you turn your head there they are. As usual green grass everywhere, everything is so neat and tidy.

 [yes they've got volleyball]

Upon receiving an Email from my uncle we've decide to see Stanford university located not that far from mountain view, If only I would have know how nice this place is I just might have studied harder.

At evening we tried to find a place to sleep, It turns out the prices motels charge at weekends are a bit too pricey so we've decided it's finally time to consecrate our tent. We've reserved a spot at Anthony Chabot Park. For just 28$, we got our own spot to pitch a tent and park our bikes, at the evening we joined a camp fire the locals had put up and got some information on the surroundings, sleeping inside the tent reminded me of home specifically sderot-rothschild.

Finally… Today we've reached San-Francisco, for a change we've walked most of the day. The incredibly steep streets make it difficult to perform "ZINOK BE ALYA", tomorrow we'll be spending some more time here and by evening we should reach Yosemite national park.
